Ladies and gentlemen… start your engines…
Welcome to the first posting of this experimental WebComic.
The story behind some of this is over there to the right, in the sidebar→.
I’m scanning what I can find of those nearly 2000 pages of cartoons I did back in the 60s, 70s and 80s — the CARtoons, etc., — and putting them online.
There are two reasons for my doing this.
First, to make some of the cartoons available to those of you who read them back then, and remember them fondly. Over time, I’ve been contacted by lots of you, asking if the ‘Toons comics are still being published (they aren’t)… or wanting to know, “What’s my copy of CARtoons worth?” (maybe we can find out).
And for you who have only heard about the comics, but have an interest in cars and hot rods and racing — and cartoons — I hope you’ll get some entertainment here.
Second, I’m going to offer prints of some of my cartoons. I’m still working out the details, but there will be frameable, hand-signed editions of individual cartoons… and small collections of pages in a comic-book format. I’ll have more information in a few days.
And if you need cartoons drawn — for ads or for gifts, etc., — please contact me; I’m always interested in new projects!
I’ll be posting something new (well, as “new” as 40-year-old cartoons can be) every day. I’ll only be posting my own cartoons. (I don’t have the rights to use other cartoonists’ work — although I’ll be talking about them and linking to those who have their own websites.
I’ll be doing that in my blog, which is on another page in this website. Check it out, too.
Part of this experiment will be to see what format works best: what works for me; what works for you. You can add your comments by clicking the “comments” link at the upper left… they will be appreciated.

This is so awesome! thank you for doing this! i loved your CARtoons as a kid and was just thinking about how to find them on the internet, then I went to drawn.ca this morning and BAM a link to your site. The CARtoon gods have answered my prayers.
